Christ…God’s “Sacrificial” Gift

Whether you believe in Christ or not He is a real person that lived then and lives now. He is either inside or outside of your life. That is your choice that you have been graciously given by your Creator.

The beautiful part of history is that Jesus did exist as any other human, and the events that took part during Easter are historical “facts”! The events are not made up. If there is any other human being that can prove it otherwise then please come forward and redirect us to the truth. There has not been one human being that has proved anything from the Bible “false”…every bit of it.

Please understand that I am not trying to be argumentative about this incredible man- God, but just remember…the bible is a historical book based off of factual recorded events like any other history book out there, but this one has been inspired by the love of God.

If you believe any history book you might want to believe this one as well. The history gathered here is for you, not against you.

Did you know, the Bible is still the number one best selling book of all time! “Still”. Funny how you don’t here that in The New York Times, or any other.

This is not only the love story from God about how to really give, but it is also about how to give your life for the greater of the good of each other.

Our lives were not created to give out of our abundance. Christ was the model…one must give out of sacrifice.

Peter Disowns Jesus

Judas Hangs Himself

1Early in the morning, all the chief priests and the elders of the people came to the decision to put Jesus to death. 2They bound him, led him away and handed him over to Pilate, the governor.

3When Judas, who had betrayed him, saw that Jesus was condemned, he was seized with remorse and returned the thirty silver coins to the chief priests and the elders. 4“I have sinned,” he said, “for I have betrayed innocent blood.”
“What is that to us?” they replied. “That’s your responsibility.”

5So Judas threw the money into the temple and left. Then he went away and hanged himself.

6The chief priests picked up the coins and said, “It is against the law to put this into the treasury, since it is blood money.” 7So they decided to use the money to buy the potter’s field as a burial place for foreigners. 8That is why it has been called the Field of Blood to this day. 9Then what was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled: “They took the thirty silver coins, the price set on him by the people of Israel, 10and they used them to buy the potter’s field, as the Lord commanded me.”^[a] Matthew 27 1-10

Jesus Before Pilate

11Meanwhile Jesus stood before the governor, and the governor asked him, “Are you the king of the Jews?”
“Yes, it is as you say,” Jesus replied.

12When he was accused by the chief priests and the elders, he gave no answer. 13Then Pilate asked him, “Don’t you hear the testimony they are bringing against you?” 14But Jesus made no reply, not even to a single charge—to the great amazement of the governor.

15Now it was the governor’s custom at the Feast to release a prisoner chosen by the crowd. 16At that time they had a notorious prisoner, called Barabbas. 17So when the crowd had gathered, Pilate asked them, “Which one do you want me to release to you: Barabbas, or Jesus who is called Christ?” 18For he knew it was out of envy that they had handed Jesus over to him.

The Soldiers Mock and Beat Jesus

Spiritual and Friendship Poems, I feel, are Religious Quotes buried deep inside the soul. They are actually more than a quote, more like inspirational bible verses carved from a piece of the person’s entity. These sweet quotes tend to need some sort of translation due to the intense nature behind the story. Kind of like bible scripture…if you will.

What are the characteristics of a true spiritual person? Words of spiritual encouragement come from inspired people traveling into the wild quotes of outstanding individuals derived from a list of religions.

I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed this. This is deep yet very simplistic…

Not to shabby for a young man if I don’t mind my saying! Talk about getting the meaning of life! And, at such a young age to boot.

Think about this for a minute…this young man is asking the world what they see and then he goes and hands it to them front and center…wow!

It kind of gives me the visual from Saturday morning cartoons when the little devil and the little angel were on Porky Pigs shoulders working him over as to what direction he should go.

You know, if we are really honest, we are actually born very self-centered. What the first thing we do when we take our first breath of air? We scream bloody murder…I’m cold and feed me right now!

We must first recognize the selfish side of our existence and then teach ourselves to be good.

This poem, in my opinion, exposes the spiritual warfare that goes on in all of us.

This was written to his Autistic brother who inspires him in many ways as you can see.

The experts say that everybody is responsible for their own actions. I agree to a point;} If you go out and deliberately hurt something or somebody shame on you and you get what you have coming to you…period.

But, if your actions can “affect” the feelings for another in a positive form and create harmony in the actions of another…so holds true to the opposite.

In this spiritual and friendship poem, Cody’s life is directly “affected” by the life of his brother’s actions. It promotes unity between those individuals and the “life” cycle draws into effect.

Hence, your actions do affect the choices of others and you are somewhat responsible for their actions.

Being that we are all not perfect between the ears we must have the mentality to help carry the burden of others as a priority in order to keep a balance in society.

We enter into this world selfish. In order to leave a lasting impression on humanity we must give our lives away as as servant to a divine order. Give to others as you would want them to give to you. At this time of year many of us contemplate a period of reflection; a time to look back over the past year with a discerning eye; a time to weigh up the good and the bad; a time to evaluate where we feel we have progressed and where we feel we need to make more effort.

Consequently, many of us consider this time of year to be a good time to look to the future. Some individuals will think about what they would like to do in the next twelve months while others consider their whole future. As a result of this we make our new years resolutions, we set our goals and we make our plans.

On January 1st we can take our first step on our new “chosen” path. We start the journey towards a better way of life. Whether we want to make small changes e.g. lose weight, stop smoking, drink less, etc. or whether the ‘goal’ is much larger e.g. to become a better person, the journey is not easy. Every year many people give up and return to the place where they started, where they were comfortable. No one ever said it was going to be easy!

A little bit of advice before you go any further.

Whatever you want to do in this coming year or so, the way in which you set your goals is important.

* First of all, your “why” factor must be in place! That will be the driving force (we will speak more on this as we go). Make sure that your goals are specific – what you want to achieve and when you want to achieve it by. Set “exact” figures and dates. If targets are large then break them down into smaller steps. It is difficult to lose10Kg in weight but if you set your first target at 10% of the total and you aim to reach the target by February the first then it will be easier to succeed. Similarly, becoming a better person takes a long time.

If you aim to start every day with ‘Good morning…’ and a smile (even when you find it difficult -this is the best time to create new positive habits) you could easily turn that into a regular habit by the first of February – and you are more likely to succeed. Just break everything down into little steps and set dates by which you want to achieve your goals. Take moments at a time. Remember, it is important that the targets are measurable as you must be able to decide when you have achieved the target and when to move on to the next step.

* Write your goals down and keep them close to you. This way you can look at your goals repeatedly. It is just too easy to write things down and to forget about it within a few days. Tack them, paste them, tape them everywhere you exist in your world.

With this in mind, how did you get where you are right now? “Why” are you even seeking a change? Again, your “why” is going to be your driving factor. You created your world, as it is, little moments at a time and repeated them over and over. You can create and recreate anything in your life, with momentary goal setting, reading them at every turn. Start small and grow as you gain confidence with yourself. We are with you and here for you!

* Make a public commitment. Tell a “trusted” friend what you want to achieve (not just anybody). This does two things. Firstly, it will help you to feel more committed to your goals. Secondly, it will bring a trusted friend alongside – they will give you moral support when you need it. If you don’t feel that you can do that with a friend the do it on the Comments page of our blog. Our readers can support you and so can we.

What does this have to do with religious quotes?

You may be wondering what this has to do with religious quotes. The answer is that inspiration and motivation are key factors governing our thoughts and behavior. What’s interesting to us is the idea that different individuals are often inspired by similar ideas (or different aspects of the idea). Hello world! Wow, how could I add to this? Well, I suppose this religious quote is instructing me on what kind of things to think about.

We “are” what we think, in our minds. I’m not talking about what we think we are but what we “think of”, period (brain twister). Where do you think you get your moods and attitude from? Yes, the affect from your thoughts!

What is negative and bad is always available(which is usually the easy route), but you know what, so is what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, and praiseworthy. When you are full of dark thoughts you and everybody around you are miserable. If this is the case, try this religious quote in your life. Ask yourself “what thoughts have I been cultivating”?

Take your thought life and give some time to examine it. Write down, on a moment by moment basis, an inventory of the words that cross your mind. What do you see? Do they show a black stench of stagnant fruit? Or, do those thoughts give light around you cultivating the soil of others that you may be blessed from your own fruits, given by the Deity?
